Abstract
The UEG Young Talent Group (YTG) is the newest addition to the UEG working groups. Its main mission is to promote young clinicians and basic scientists working in the field of gastroenterology, with special emphasis on developing networking activities for their target group during the annual UEG Week. The YTG consists of seven members, as well as a Group Coordinator, and it works in close coordination with the UEG National Societies Committee. To achieve its goals, the YTG develops initiatives in collaboration with other UEG committees and makes strategic recommendations to UEG’s boards and committees – all in order to make UEG initiatives, including UEG Week and some others mentioned below, more accessible and attractive to UEG members. Being a member of the YTG not only offers one the possibility of meeting and collaborating with other enthusiastic young clinicians and scientists; it also provides the opportunity for insights into the organisation of UEG as well as its activities and outputs, including the UEG Journal.
