Abstract
In the CH radical the emission spectrum of the 0-0, 1-1, and 2-2 bands of the A2Δ-X2Π system has been obtained using a Geissler tube. The spectrum was photographed under high resolution and calibrated against Th lines. The reduction of the spectrum for the individual bands has been performed via a nonlinear least-squares fit with the effective Hamiltonian of Brown. New values of the rotational constants for both combining states and the vibrational constants for the A2Δ state have been determined. Also, RKR potentials and Franck-Condon factors have been calculated for both combining states, as well as r-centroids for the A-X system.
