Abstract

The frequency range of the ETH Fourier transform microwave spectrometers has been extended to cover frequencies up to 40GHz.This new setup has been used to measure 26–34GHz rotational transitions of the unstable species SF2. The new hyperfine data obtained has allowed for a precise determination of the 19F spin–spin and spin–rotation coupling constants and for an accurate derivation of the 19F absolute nuclear shielding parameters.
