Abstract

ABSTRACT This article examines the use of yoga and mindfulness as therapeutic group interventions with people who are incarcerated. The authors discuss the various benefits of yoga and mindfulness with this population, including promoting rehabilitation and reducing recidivism. Moreover, the article describes cultural and ethical considerations for counselors when implementing these interventions in a group setting in jails and prisons.
