Abstract
This case study outlines the use of rehabilitation profiling and an interprofessional care team to ease an elite athlete’s significant transitions through the phases of an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear, impacting her competitive season and a sudden transition to sport injury rehabilitation. The aim of rehabilitation profiling was to encompass the physical and psychological components deemed most valuable to the athlete’s current transition phase and give insight into which interventions to employ. The effectiveness of the interventions was assessed by monitoring the athlete through individual consultation, feedback from the interprofessional care team, and observation of task completion.
