Abstract

This article discusses how small systems can take advantage of the new emphasis on source water protection, consumer education and involvement, and increased funding opportunities as provided by the 1996 Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) amendments. The article specifically discusses capacity development, source water assessment and protection, consumer confidence reports, and funding.
