Abstract

Regarding the impact of trucking regulatory reform in Ontario, the overall rate levels for trucking service and rate levels for shipments involving small / remote communities are examined. Analysis indicates that rate levels have not declined in most trucking service sectors. With respect to small / remote communities, the basic question concerns the existence of cross‐subsidization, which was found to be present in some industry sectors.
