Abstract

Abstract The interrelation between the state of dyeing intensifiers in the presence of a series of inorganic salts and the effectiveness of their plasticizing action on polyester fiber has been studied by the methods of electron and vibration spectroscopy and thermomechanical analysis. The expediency of application of “intensifier-inorganic salt” mixture to fixation of disperse dyes by polyester fiber under the conditions of continuous and periodic dyeing is illustrated by the examples of benzyl alcohol and biphenyl.
