Abstract
The authors investigated the ability of a petroleum feedstock (system) to change in its dispersity when acted upon from within (by the introduction of a modifier) and from without (by changing the intensity of energy supply). As petroleum feedstocks they used atmospheric resids from an aromatic-base Tyumen' crude and from paraffinic/naphthenic-base Sangachaly-More crude; as modifiers they used extracts obtained in solvent treating lube stocks from these same crudes. The studies were performed by the equilibrium temperature method, these temperatures being determined while mixing samples of petroleum feedstock after thermostating, and also by a procedure in which the petroleum feedstock was heated under forced convection conditions.
