Abstract
The paper gives a brief outline of the regulatory framework regarding the financial services in Australia. After understanding the recent trends in the financial market in Australia, the twin-peak model of regulation of Australia has been studied. Also, the same has been compared with the international standard prevalent at this point of time. Lastly, a few recent developments in this area of regulation have been examined.
