Abstract

In a metal/semiconductor nanocomposite, the contact type (Ohmic or Schottky contact) is usually decided by the relative magnitude of the working function of the metal and the semiconductor. In this paper, the Ag/g-C3N4 contact type is regulated by controlling the shape of loaded Ag nanoparticles. Under light irradiation, the intensity of internal local electric field of Ag nanoparticle, generated from its surface plasma resonance absorption, will change with the shape of Ag nanoparticles, resulting in different contact types in Ag nanospheres/g-C3N4 nanocomposite and Ag nanoplates/g-C3N4 nanocomposite.
