Abstract

In this work we investigate the effects of the chiral chemical potential, μ 5, in the two flavor cold and dense quark matter with two different regularization procedures within the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio (NJL SU(2)) model: the Traditional Regularization Scheme (TRS) and the Medium Separation Scheme (MSS). We study the effects of different choices for the parametrization of the model for both regularization schemes. More specifically we were interested in the behavior of the effective quark masses as a function of chiral and quark chemical potentials.
