Abstract

This research constitutes a contribution to ongoing studies on work via digital platforms. The aim was to investigate how the initiatives of IG Metalland STRUP can contribute to the regulation of work via platforms. The theoretical framework used was the Power Resource Approach. This was a case study involving trade unions from two European countries, Germany, and Portugal. The sources of evidence werethree: interviews, documentation, and observation. The results obtained in the research pointed out weaknesses and strengths of these attempts at regulation.
