Abstract
Abstract This paper describes regression analysis of certain types of experimental data obtained from geotechnical testing. By suitable transformation, nonlinear equations may be converted into linear equations if appropriate weighting factors are applied to the data before performing the regression analysis. Sample problems in BASIC, which can be used with desktop computers, are described. Typical examples from soil mechanics and rock mechanics are included.
