Abstract

The purpose of this research was to model and determine the factors that influence the poverty rate in the Province of Papua from 2018 to 2020 by applying panel data analysis. The independent variables in this research were life expectancy, average length of schooling, open unemployment rate, and labor force participation rate. The estimation model used was the common effect model (CEM), fixed effect model (FEM) and random effect model (REM). The best model to determine the factors that influence the poverty rate in the Province of Papua was Random Effect Model and (REM) and the independent variable that has a significant effect on the poverty rate in Papua Province in 2018-2020 was the average length of school.
