Abstract
Reporto observaciones del estornino pinto en la ciudad de Morelia, Michoacán, especie exótica e invasora que fue traída al continente americano desde el siglo pasado y que en los últimos años ocupa ya diferentes regiones del territorio nacional. Su detección temprana es un primer paso de acción dentro de la estrategia nacional sobre especies invasoras en México. Es importante realizar estudios sobre el efecto que esta y otras especies invasoras tienen sobre la fauna nativa.
