Registration of preoperative and intraoperative high-field MR image data allows automatic updating of neuronavigation

Abstract

Updating of neuronavigation systems with intraoperative image data is possible without repeated patient registration. Tumor remnants depicted by intraoperative imaging can be localized reliably, as well as brain shift can be compensated for.
