Abstract

This research studies farm register in a society dialect in Demak Regency with Javanese-culture background. This research type is categorized as a qualitative descriptive research. There are two objects of study in this research. First, it relates to register categorization based on word class and second it relates to categorization in morphemic form existing in every word-class category that has been determined. The method that is used is agih method with continual technique that is reduction and extension. Meanwhile, the research collection is conducted with observing-registering method from the native society working as a farmer. The result of this research includes two points: 1) register category in Demak-society dialect that is based on word class. Based the word class, there are three farming registers such as verb (V), nominal word class (N) and adjectival word class. 2) farming-register category in society dialect of Demak Regency is based on its morphemic form occurring in every word-class category. Relating to the morphemic for; a) in verbal category (V) there are four categories which are free-morphemic form, reduplication, prefix, and convex; b) in nominal category (N) there are three categories, free-morpheme category, suffix-form category, and reduplication; c) in adjectival category (A) there are two category that are morphemic-form category including free-morpheme and reduplication.
