Abstract
In the previous paper, regions of instability of parametric excitation of columns subjected to a periodic axial force were determined assuming that the stress by the axial force distributes uniformly along the column. At a steady longitudinal vibration of the column subjected to the periodic axial force, distribution of the stress is not uniform. The regions of instability of parametric excitation considering the distribution of the stress are determined.
