Abstract

The subject of tourism policy and its implementation models in Lithuania are not widely researched, just few researches were done on the subject. The aim of this research – to discuss the regional tourism policy opportunities in Lithuania. The results showed that the Lithuanian regional development from the perspective of tourism policy is very ambiguous – tourism potential not in every region is worthy of development, to define tourism as one of the priority developments of the region may not always be correct, as well as a legal regulation in this area is sufficiently chaotic.
