Abstract

The article deals with the issue of railway connections between regions in the Czech Republic. There is a comparison of railway connections on selected routes in the Czech Republic between train schedule 2002/2003, train schedule 2010/2011 and the final draft train schedule 2020/2021. The aim of the article is to point out the artificial barriers of public transport planning, which have become regional borders. In many cases, the attractiveness of regional rail transport has also been reduced at the expense of long-distance transport, especially in areas where regional borders meet.
