Abstract
Political communication has its pecularities in each subject of the Russian Federation. This research compared the official website and Instagram of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation with those of the Communist Party of the Republic of Tyva. The research revealed the basic characteristics of political communication in Tyva, the integration of regional political organizations into Internet communication, and their ability to use the manipulative potential of social networks. The Tuva Communist Party demonstrated a high level of virtual communication with social network users. The regional political communication was oriented towards unique content that reflected the regional specifics of political discourse. The posts were short, with a lot of infographics; the material was adapted to the requirements of the addressee by highlighting key categories.
