New Jaundice Test Method Described by Researchers
New York Medical College researchers have announced they have developed a simple, rapid, reproducible test for detecting and monitoring jaundice in newborn infants and certain adults with liver diseases. Dr. Paul T. Medici of St. John's Graduate School worked with the researchers. Drs. Piliero and Casella said procedural simplicity and speed are the outstanding assets of the test. It can be carried out with only a few drops of blood, without the use of special equipment and by persons without special training. Because of the small amount
