Abstract

ABSTRACT In this exchange, I suggest that regional capability provides a lens to link two popular theories in regional studies, namely evolutionary economic geography (EEG) and global production networks (GPNs). This implies moving beyond ordinary to dynamic organisational capability that turns global value chain, geopolitical and security risks into opportunities for regional diversification.
