Abstract
The mean energy equation of the homogeneous, incompressible turbulent boundary layer with blowing is numerically integrated and the Spalding number computed with the following assumptions: constant laminar and turbulent Prandtl numbers; constant rate of blowing or suction; step wall temperature distribution; and a unified law of the wall. The numerical results are compared with some measurements of velocity and temperature profiles in the boundary layer.
