Abstract

The fermion-fermion scattering amplitude has been calculated for a non- Abelian gauge theory with SU(N) gauge symmetry in the limit of high energy with fixed momentum transfer through sixth order in the coupling constant. Only the leading logarithmic terms in each order of perturbation theory have been kept. In order to avoid the infrared problem, the Higgs mechanism is invoked to give masses to the vector bosons of the theory. It is found that the scattering amplitude exponentiates to a Regge form. This result is qualitatively different from an earlier published calculation. (AIP)
