Abstract
This paper is an attempt to examine the effect of three-particle states on analyticity properties in the complex angular momentum plane, in a simple nonrelativistic model. The partial wave equations of the model are prototypes for the equations governing a Schrödinger many-body problem when cast in multichannel form. It is found that if these equations are used to make the angular momentum, l, complex then energy dependent branch points in the l-plane are obtained. These singularities are the reflections of angular momentum dependent thresholds in the energy plane.
