Abstract

The braking system of electric vehicle includes mechanical braking system and regenerative braking system. The use of regenerative braking system make some braking energy recovered, thus achieving the goals of energy saving, emission reduction and environmental protection. However, the braking force distribution of the whole vehicle is affected by the introduction of regenerative braking system, which affects the braking stability of the whole vehicle. Therefore, on the premise of ensuring the safety of braking, how to establish the strategy of the whole vehicle braking force distribution and to recover the regenerative braking energy as much as possible are particularly important. For the front wheel driven electric vehicle, this paper proposes a segmented braking force distribution strategy for front and rear wheels. At the same time, the fuzzy logic control strategy is used to distribute the mechanical braking force and regenerative braking force of the front wheel. The superiority of the proposed strategy is verified by simulation.
