Abstract

Aging Evidence for a critical role of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) metabolism in aging is accumulating. Frederick et al. studied mice with muscle-specific depletion of nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (Nampt), an enzyme needed to restore concentrations of NAD in working muscle.
