Abstract

In this paper, we aim to study the repetitive cycle aspect of charge packets observed in nano and macro scale polyethylene under dc applied fields. This aspect is investigated for the first time in modeling works although large research effort has been invested in trying to reproduce the charge packet aspect. Our model results show that the repetitive cycle appearance modifies the local electric field distributions in the sample, and also induces new dynamics observed in injected current and interfacial electric field oscillations. Our model results are validated experimentally for the space charge distribution, for the first time in modeling.
