Abstract

We read with interest the case report by Coleman et al (J Vasc Surg 2005;41:340-7) of axillobifemoral bypass and aortic embolization for the treatment of two patients with ruptured infrarenal aortic aneurysms who experienced excellent 10-months outcomes. This nonresectional therapy is based upon a hypothesis that complete thrombosis of an aneurysm might prevent rupture.
