Abstract
REFRACTORY COD IN WASTEWATERRefineries chemical, pulp and paper, textile and pharmaceutical plants have refractory COD in their wastewater. Refractory COD is organic compounds that show up in the COD tests as being chemically oxidizable, but are not readily biodegradable.
