Abstract
Encrypted Photonic Crystals The multi-colors of Rubik's cube originate from the selective reflection of light by colloidal photonic crystals, which can be reversibly hidden by altering their refractive index with solvents and then decrypted one by one under different temperatures. This newly developed encryption strategy will advance the applications of photonic crystals in high security of anticounterfeiting and information protection as demonstrated by Dongpeng Yang, Xiaobo Zhou, Shaoming Huang, and co-workers in article number 2100789.
