Reform of the Private Limited Company Act and codification of the private international law of companies in Germany

Abstract

Presumably in November of this year German corporate and insolvency law will undergo substantial changes. This article describes the most important changes introduced by the relevant act (“Gesetz zur Modernisierung des GmbH-Rechts und zur Bekämpfung von Missbräuchen”, MoMiG) and its consequences. The focus of the article is on the international aspects of the reform act.
