Abstract

Objective To investigate clinical learning of nursing student in vocational school so as to provide the reference to improving teaching quality of nursing clinical learning.Methods 152 nursing students recruited into the school in 2006 were selected and randomly divided into two groups: experimental group and control group. The experimental group was taught with Seminar teaching method during their nursing practice. Both groups filled in questionnaires and took final examinations after the practice, and their final examination scores were analyzed and compared.Results There were statistically significant differences between both groups with respect to case analysis scores, total scores and nursing performance(P<0.05).Conclusions Seminar teaching method could improve students' theoretical level, knowledge application ability and clinical nursing ability;therefore it is worth of wide application.
