Abstract

The political future of the American nation has not escaped the actions of immigrant communities, who in the process of insertion and political participation, through their various generations have left their mark. This article reflects on the peculiarities of Cubans within the Hispanic minority, how it has evolved in its population growth and political behavior. The main statistical sources used for the analysis were the data by the U.S. Census Bureau, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other institutions. In this regard, they were observed surveys and studies conducted by academic institutions such as the Pew Research Center; International University of Florida; the Atlantic Council and the Migration Policy Institute (MPI).
