Abstract

The intention of the present paper is investigating the televised soccer game as a material representation of narrative, taking to account the studies of theory of literature and cinematographic narratology. It is analyzed, in special, the point of view (narrative situation) and the structure of narrative in relation to its functional elements and boundaries. The soccer game played between Brazil and Germany in 2002 World Cup is used for the analysis presented here.
