Reflexões hermenêuticas: experiência e eficácia no pensamento de Leonardo Boff

Abstract

One of the main contributions of Leonardo Boff is the quest for efficacy in the theological and Trinitarian discourse on the socio-political level and for the holistic-ecological reality. In this way, Trinitarian theology is efficient in so far as communion becomes concrete in the organizations of society, as criticism and inspiration. Based on this, compassion and care are necessary so that communion may exist among all the beings of the universe. The verification of the limitation of the socio-analytical mediation of Liberation Theology does not yet mean a pure and simple rejection of Marxism but represents its incorporation and consequently, it having been overcome. However, the dialectical tension between kairological and chronological has not been completely maintained, as Leonardo Boff had proposed in the past. The vision that the story of salvation and the story of humanity are one story could cause significant damage to theology. The methodological procedure would dilute the specificity of the faith coming from the Judeo-Christian tradition.
