Abstract

This paper presents the case for using simulation and accounting software in particular, in senior level courses in a business simulation in an Accounting Information Systems course, for the purpose of reinforcing accounting students' prior learning of double-entry accounting principles. A reflection on the co-requisite AIS and Entrepreneurship courses as a medium for simulation and reinforcement of learning as well as in a Strategic Management course are explored.
