Abstract

In the context of quality evaluation of education, the evaluation of teaching practice is an essential piece if ones consider that students ‘ results reflect the interaction that takes place during teaching and learning activities.The proposal subject of this work is developed as a result of the self-evaluation, with a view to the accreditation, carried out by the professional School of Systems Engineering of the National University of San Agustin of Arequipa between 2018 and 2019.The structure, for the proposed teaching evaluation, sets the quality criteria and the indicators that conceive the evaluation from the point of view of quality management and relate the quality of the educational institution with the quality of the teacher and the quality of its Activity.Thus, the proposal includes four dimensions that group the competencies that the teacher must possess: Administrative Competencies, Pedagogical Competencies, Investigative Competencies and Training Competencies. The dimensions and factors, proposed for the teaching evaluation, are guided by the policy of continuous improvement, so that for each dimension the factors and indicators that characterize it have been clearly defined. It also offers the steps and details to consider in the design, implementation and analysis of the questionnaire that will be the starting point for the elaboration of the teacher improvement plan.The study carried out has sought to achieve the raised objectives, so its implementation will help the institutional accreditation process.
