Abstract
Our Colloquium seeks to examine the political asylum dimension of international refugee issues. This focus is appropriate and timely because the appearance of large numbers of political asylum applicants within countries of potential refuge is the new reality, largely unanticipated, that traditional refugee receiving countries must confront.
