Abstract

Relevance. Each activity, based on the focus of the professional tasks being implemented, combines in its structure a number of elements (components and tools) that are designed to ensure the rationality of the organization of the activity itself, the conditions for its effective implementation, as well as increase the level of subsequent professionalism and self-improvement of its subject. One of these is professional psychological selection, the main tasks of which are to objectively differentiate the individual personal qualities of the subject of labor relative to the upcoming professional activity. Understanding the conditions for organizing and implementing professional psychological selection is an important task of educational psychology.
 Materials and methods. The research was carried out using a theoretical method of obtaining scientific data based on analytical-synthetic, system-structural and personal-activity methods and techniques traditional for educational psychology.
 Research results. The article summarizes general data on the complex of organizational, pedagogical, psychological, material and legal conditions for the implementation of professional psychological selection in modern conditions. The results obtained by the author can be used in the activities of personnel services and laboratories for professional selection of law enforcement agencies.
