Abstract

In preparation for the celebration of Hans Selye's 60th birthday at Mont Tremblant, Quebec, a number of Dr. Selye's personal friends and scientists were asked to compile... a few autobiographic notes expressing their views on the philosophy and psychology of research. Some 30 persons, including nine Nobel prize laureates, did so and this book comprises their contributions. It includes remarkably good photographs of the various authors and, as one of its most valuable features, brief but interesting and informative summaries of their careers, writings, and honors.
