Abstract

2010 was a year of change for Neuro-Oncology. Over the course of the year, the journal made major strides in helping the Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO) meet its goal of advancing multidisciplinary research and education in the field of neuro-oncology. One means by which we made that possible was by moving to monthly publication by Oxford Journals, with about 1600 pages of text in about 125 scientific articles, up from 71 articles in 2009 and 46 in 2007, when the journal's current editorial team was assembled (and when, it should be noted, the journal was still just a quarterly publication). The focus has clearly been on growing the journal to meet the needs of its diverse readership and on ensuring it has the ability to reach into libraries and institutions worldwide.
