Abstract

The Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic has impacted on the population across social, economic and political spheres to an unprecedented degree. Within the NHS, it brought about rapid change within a short period as services adapted to provide safe and effective practice. Whilst many of these developments were positive, the pace and complexity of the ever-changing situation had a profound impact on the day-to-day routine, referrals and wellbeing of service users and staff. In this article, two assistant psychologists reflect on their experience of working in acute inpatient neurorehabilitation during this time and highlight some of the challenges and positives that arose.
