Abstract

The organization and application of excellent textbooks for postgraduates is an im-portant work for every medical scientific research institution. Taking the cultivation of postgraduates majored in stomatology as an example, when compiling self-organized textbooks, the compiler should take into consideration the characteristics of postgraduate education as well as emphasize on the lead-ing edge of the contents and the difference from textbooks for undergraduates. When compiling self-organized textbooks, the principles of universality, exploratory and fineness should be always followed and the discipline construction, teaching method innovation, teaching resource integration should be combined to inspire students’ innovative thinking. Compiling a textbook is a systematic process, there-fore an effective management mechanism should be established at all stages (plan, organization, pro-cess control and follow-up application) to ensure the quality of teaching materials and efficient use.
