Abstract

We derive a rigorous analytic description of multiple reflection/transmission phenomena of 3-D scalar harmonic wave fields in a multilayered inhomogeneous medium with smooth curvilinear infinite interfaces of arbitrary shape. Each individual event is given in terms of a surface integral over the corresponding interface. The derivation is based on a generalisation of the technique that was used for description of corresponding phenomena at a single interface in our previous paper [K. Klem-Musatov, A. Aizenberg, H.B. Helle, J. Pajchel, Reflection and transmission at curvilinear interface in terms of surface integrals, Wave Motion (39)(1) (2004) 77–92].
