Abstract

On the basis of the recently proposed thermo-mechanical continuum model for elastic solids, several quantities characterizing reflection and refraction in solids, that is, amplitude ratios among incident, reflected and refracted waves, reflectivity, transmissivity, critical angle and temperature gap at an interface, are analyzed and discussed in a wide temperature range including a melting point as a limiting case.
