Abstract

Asteroid 419 Aurelia is of particular interest due to its unusual optical properties. But the lack of observational data, especially in the R filter, did not allow one to accurately determine the parameters of the negative polarization branch of this asteroid. We carried out the precise measurements of the Aurelia's degree of linear polarization at different phase angles. The data obtained made it possible to accurately approximate a complete branch of the negative polarization. Thanks to this, it was possible to obtain refined values of the parameters of the negative polarization branch.
