Abstract
The cause of the present study was to explore the private university libraries of Assam and to determine their library working practices and to investigate the different library practices and strategies that had been applied during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study basically gives special emphasized on utilization of reference services in online and offline modeto the academic user community where the data has been collected through designed questionnaire or in-depth personal interviews. For the study six private university libraries of Assam have been selected and that all the selected private university has been established as per the Assam private university act 2007. During the pandemic all the university libraries were closed for the library users but digital and online library services are being provided by the library professional with different systematic and collective resources. During this Pandemic all the private university library makes an effort via library webpage’s, social media and online tools.
